Pet godina Doomtowna!

318243_422721001076598_1363504960_n

Doomtown broz.

Agent Orange – Demos & More 12″ 80 KN

17 Song LP with demos and more from the legendary old dutch Hardcore band Agent Orange!

Agent Orange were a male/female fronted hardcore/punk band from Amsterdam/The Netherlands, they released 2 classic 7″ EPs in ’83-’84 and ca. 10 years ago a split LP with Jesus and the Gospelfuckers. “Demos and more” contains their first demo, “Your Mother Sucks Cocks In Hell EP session raw mix, the 2nd demo and a track from VD “Hello Boyfriend” EP.

Almost 21 – S/T 7″ (pre-D.I.) 35 KN

This band from Fullerton is pre D.I. and the 3 song EP features songs from ’83 (Garage Studio Recordings). Great early LA Punk think D.I./Adolescents/TSOL etc. They made some songs that later ended up on the D.I. -Horse Bites LP.

Appendix – Money Is Not My Currency 12″ (restock) 80 KN

Killer reissue from Hoehnie Records of Appendix’s 1st couple releases. This is one of the all time greatest finnish bands, so jump on this if you’re not familiar. Great charging punk with nice hooks and drive. They were in a league of their own by keeping it catchy, yet furious at the same time. if you’re a fan of 80’s Finnish hardcore punk, this is a must have. Has their ‘Money is Not my Currency’ LP and ‘Huora’ EP as well. GREAT!!!!!

Arctic Flowers – Weaver 12″ 80 KN

After last year’s excellent “Procession” EP, an EP that showcased the Arctic Flowers’ talent for combining the tradition of anarcho/peace punk with a postpunk sensibility, the new “Weaver” LP continues in much the same vein. Just a great mid-tempo punk rock LP that, in true Arctic Flowers fashion, blurs the boundaries between classic punk, post punk, and early gothic rock. The long-running DIY background of the band’s members imparts to the songs an urgency one is not likely to find in the more disingenuous bands trying to hop on the recent goth-punk bandwagon. Weaver is simply an excellent LP.

Audacity – Mellow Cruisers 12″ 80 KN

The Fullerton quartet Audacity could have been just another semi-anonymous pop-punk bunch, if only it had put a little less creativity into the music on its second album. Instead, the band attacks its rough-hewn but unshakably melodic songs from a variety of angles while always retaining its anarchic spirit throughout the album’s too-short 29 minutes.

Criminal Code – Salvage 7″ 35 KN

The new 7“ harkens back to the raw, stripped down and primal intensity that characterised the early days of post punk, back when it was still considered just punk, only punk that was a little off and slightly more unsettling than usual.

While specifically for Criminal Code’s European tour, the EP neatly coheres and expands on their Husker Du Over A Cliff guitars and post-post (post) Wipers despair/rage. Snag the EP on tour and dig hard!

Hassler – Fed, Worked and Watered 12″ 75 KN

Finally there 1st full-length LP. This Totonto band features members of BRUTAL NIGHTS, TOXIC HOLOCAUST, CAREER SUICIDE, BAD SKIN for sure URANUS and CHOKEHOLD to mention some more old bands. These guys construct thrashy, meaty and barbaric hardcore-punk with an incredible overall sound.

Throaty howls are shouted over thick, hard-hitting drums, distortion-coated punk riffs and muddled bass lines. Like the missing link between TOTALITÄR and POISON IDEA. “fed worked and watered” is 16 songs in 21min., but still has lots of variety.

Night Birds – Born To Die In Suburbia 12″ (restock) 75 KN

At long last, New Jersey’s NIGHT BIRDS deliver the follow up to their 2011 debut LP, “The Other Side of Darkness.” “Born to Die in Suburbia” delivers fourteen new tracks – refashioning the dark overtones, surf inflections, and melodic sensibilities of their signature style without dramatically altering their core sound. The result being not only their most diverse and accomplished collection of songs to date, but an output that is more distinctly NIGHT BIRDS than ever.

Rife with impassioned social commentary, tales of dysfunction and despair, and lamentations of a culture in rapid decline, “Born To Die In Suburbia” is an instant punk rock classic for this modern world on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

Night Birds – The Other Side Of Darkness 12″ (restock) 75 KN

At long last, the debut LP from NY/NJ’s own NIGHT BIRDS is finally upon us! Following three well received 7″ EPs, “The Other Side of Darkness” takes you on on a non-stop demented thrill ride with thirteen raging blasts of high-octane surf-inspired punk that the band has become known for. NIGHT BIRDS have pulled out all of the stops on this long player; honing their hardcore/punk/surf/garage hybrid sound to near perfection, delivering each and every song with urgent and unmistakable precision.

With underlying themes of isolation, paranoia, depression, visions of total annihilation, and more horror/b-movie nods and references than you can count, “The Other Side of Darkness” is the ultimate soundtrack to that post-apocalyptic nightmare that you just can’t seem to wake up from.

Riistetyt – Raiskattu Tulevaisuus 12″ 80 KN

Finally out: Official repress of their totally underrated album from 1984! Formerly on the infamous Rock-o-Rama label! Much more power in this remastered version here compared to the smooth sound on the original vinyl! Contains “Bella ciao” as bonus-track!

Comes with a big poster like the original plus dozens of great photos from their legendary US-tour in 1984 plus extra lyric-sheet! Highly recommended!!!

S.H.I.T. – Collective Unconsciousness 7″ 40 KN

Collective Unconsciousness speaks to a vast generation of sleeping strength and rusted mobility. It’s time. Organize. Stand tall. Believe in your movement. Check your spelling.

Honest, important music gets made less frequently then it should and gets noticed even less. Don’t be a dullard, wake up and smell the S.H.I.T.

S.H.I.T. – Feeding Time 7″ 40 KN

Over the last couple of years, Toronto’s S.H.I.T. have come out of nowhere with their acclaimed demo tape, to releasing two killer 7″s, to even opening their own DIY venue, S.H.I.B.G.B’s.

They are now back with their third 7″ and it’s just as essential as the two preceding. You may remember ‘Feeding Time’ as the opening track off their demo, it has now been re-recorded and is now even more of a rager than before. On the flip, you get a brand new track, the slow burning ‘Private Lies’.

The package is wrapped up with perfect artwork by Sam Ryser (Crazy Spirit, Dripper World and Dawn Of Humans).

Silent Era – DEMO CS 25 KN

The Bay Area’s SILENT ERA s/t cassette is one of the best demos I’ve heard recently. They play moody and melodic punk with reverb’d vocals and guitar parts that take the listener back to the classic era of dark but catchy anarcho punk. It’s all about the song-writing details on this tape, as the more I listen to this recording, the more I notice neat little guitar parts and infectious little hooks.

At times, there is a Post-Regiment vibe, at times it almost reminds me of New Model Army (without the embarrassing tribal imagery or goofy vibe). Overall though it’s impossible to say that this band mimics any one style or sound; they’re a force all their own.

Targets – Massenhysterie 12″ 100 KN

30 years ago there was this legendary and only album of the official SLIME successor. Unfortunately TARGETS was just 2 years from: Elf on vocals and guitar, bassist Eddi SLIME and the BUTTOCKS drummer Stephane Larsson, who came to SLIME in the final stages and the brilliant live farewell disc in the Pankehallen on 21/01/1984 with grossed.

Terrible Feelings – Backwoods 7″ (restock) 35 KN

Someone described the music as “Loud, dark, therapeutic, and rough around the edges” and Anton once said he played “black angst-ridden power pop.” Both quotes sum up Terrible Feelings pretty well. Place their sound somewhere in the wastelands between Wipers, Redd Kross, Ebba Grön and Murder City Devils.Terrible Feelings from Malmö, Sweden have existed since fall 2009.They sprung out of late parties, punk rock, pop, and friendship.

Musically Terrible Feelings has been described as proto punk, dark power pop and gloomy surf, with a tint of both country and 70s hard rock. All descriptions are correct. It’s rock ‘n’ roll.

The Mandates – S/T 12″ 80 KN

The Mandates are a punk/power-pop quartet based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Formed in 2010, Matt Sikkens, Jimmy Sixx, Kirch N. Destroy and their drummer, Tahoe, have dedicated the most ambitious few years of their lives to writing the best ’77 pop punk anthems their minds can arrange. Taking cues from classic acts like Teenage Head, Thin Lizzy, New York Dolls and The Jam, The Mandates have forged through their music scene, creating something vintage and yet somehow maintaining a modern appeal.

The 12″ follow-up to their first single “Take You to the Dance” os boasting their most danceable choruses and inspired lyrics to date. This full length vinyl release, produced by Portland punk rock aficionado Pat Kearns (Exploding Hearts, Nice Boys, Red Dons, Clorox Girls) is a passionate and earnest endeavour.

The Real Energy – Beyond Delay 12″ 80 KN

New 12″ from this Houston bands featuring members of No Talk, Secret Prostitutes, Reason of Insanity, and many more I’m sure. Of course all of those bands have a very different sound from one another, and the Real Energy is no different. They remind me of the more rock-oriented ’77 UK punk bands like 999 and the UK Subs… the songs are high-energy and definitely punk, but there’s a kind of classic rock songwriting sensibility on display that not a lot of bands can pull off.

Basically, this is just high-energy rock and roll with classic hooks, not pandering to any particular vibe like ’77 retro or garage rock… you don’t hear many bands like this and it totally rages.

V/A – Russia Bombs Finland 12″ 80 KN

Reissue of the PROPAGANDA Records – Sampler from 1982 and perhaps the best Fin-Punk Sampler there is! 35 (!) Smashers fromn BASTARDS, KAAOS, NATO, TERVEET KÄDET, RIISTETYT, 013, MAHO NEITSYT, APPENDIX, SEKUNDA, ANTIKEHO + DACHAU!

Comes with original fanzine!

Valley Boys – S/T 12″ (ex-Brutal Knights) 75 KN

Valley Boys are the new band of Jon Sharron who used to be in bands like Brutal Knights, Uranus, Chokehold and some more and also play in Hassler and Career Suicide.

This band also has folks from School Jerks and Vapids and it’s nothing but great punk rock!

Warthog – Chain Wallet Sessions 7″ 40 KN

Warthog are one of the best current wave of New York bands (featuring members of Ajax, Dawn Of Humans), and play relentless Pick Your King style hardcore punk.

They’ve recently released two 7″s on Katorga Works and Iron Lung, but this 7″ is actually their first recordings, and is just as essential.

Highly recommended!

Wrong Hole – 2012 12″ 75 KN

The line-up of the band features Nick Flanagan “vocals” (BRUTAL KNIGHTS, TEEN CRUD COMBO, KILLER ELITE, COME), Andrew Moszynski “guitar, drum programming” (QUEST FOR FIRE, DEADLY SNAKES, KILLER ELITE) and Jon Schouten “Synth” (TEENANGER).

The “vocals” show analogies to BRUTAL KNIGHTS snotty HC-style plus digitally effected weirdness whilst the tunes are a dirty drum machine driven mix of SPITS, TERROR VISIONS, FINAL SOLUTIONS and “Death To The Old Flesh”-era DESTRUCTION UNIT or like a fast version of the most underrated DAMNATION KIDS – all levels in the red. The musical follies of WRONG HOLE are in a way comparable with the lunatic tape-manipulation and funny noises of early BUTTHOLE SURFERS too.
